Whether your favorite bakeware is glass or aluminum, I’ve got proven methods to get rid of those yucky brown, baked on stains. Stick around to see just what you need to do to remove stains from all your bakeware in no time at all.

Good Housekeeping took on the challenge of testing out all those Pinterest methods to get burned on grease off of your favorite Pyrex {or glass} bakeware. We should all thank our lucky stars that they saved us some time and trouble! Because it turns out that the quickest and easiest way to clean up your grimy glass bakeware is none other than a combination of baking soda and dish soap. How do you do it?

First, fill your sink with hot water. Then cover that grimy pan with baking soda and Dawn dish soap, and let it soak in that hot water for about 15 minutes. Then a good old-fashioned scrubbing with a sponge, plus additional baking soda as needed, will bring that pan back to {nearly} good as new. Of three methods GH tested, this is the fastest and easiest one. That’s good enough for me!

If your favorite dark or aluminum bakeware–including baking sheets–need a good cleaning, try this method from Clean Mama.

Clean Mama recommends Bon Ami cleanser {something I’ve never thought of!}, paper towels, and aluminum foil. This combination yields pretty impressive results. Just sprinkle the Bon Ami over the offending bakeware. Wet some paper towels, and use them to rub the Bon Ami over the entire surface of the pan. Now use crumpled aluminum foil to work the wet Bon Ami into the dirtiest areas and scrub them clean. Once that’s done, wash the pan with soap and water and rinse well. If you need to, repeat the process to achieve the result you want.
