How To Organize Lazy Susan

Why is Susan lazy? That’s a question maybe no one can answer–but as far as that corner cabinet goes, it’s only lazy if it’s not organized. If we can organize it once and for all, you might have to change its name!

There is nothing more annoying that having your lazy Susan be unorganized. These amazing tips will help you organize your lazy Susan and help you get the most out of it.

Reevaluate your kitchen zones

The location of your cabinet (or cabinets, if you have more than one) should play a big part in how you organize it. For example, if it’s located near the oven and under where you keep your stand mixer, think about stocking it with things you use for baking.

It’s not just for dishes

Imagine the light bulb that went off the first time I realized that I could store food in my lazy Susan. Lazy Susans that are close to your baking zone is a great place to store sugar, flour, shortening and other baking needs. If one shelf is baking supplies and one is mixing bowls–you’ve got everything you need right there the next time you decide to bake cookies.

Is there anything worse than having unorganized cabinets? These tips to help you organize your lazy Susan will change your kitchen for the better. Check them out.

Corral the goods with round containers

Lazy Susans are generally round. So a lot of square dishes and containers tend to get in the way of smooth rotation if you aren’t careful. Try storing food goods and other items inside round baskets and other containers inside your cabinet.
