Organize with tension rods in the kitchen! A simple tension rod suspended just underneath the cabinets adds a lot of extra space to hang things that don’t fit in your cupboards. One thing you can organize with tension rods are pans you use frequently, or a bucket of the cooking tools you use every day. A tension rod keeps them conveniently close at hand!

In your home office, use tension rods to convert a regular deep drawer space into a hanging file folder. Affix a tension rod on each side of the drawer, front to back, and use the rods to suspend hanging file folders. Genius!

One of the really handy ways to use tension rods is to create hanging space in your closets, wherever you want it. It doesn’t matter how wide the opening is, you can create extra hanging space you didn’t have before.

Do you tire of paper towels taking up space on your kitchen counter? With a tension rod, you can create a spot to hang them underneath your kitchen sink. They’re still handy there, but you now have more counter space for other things. While you’re at it, you can also hang rolls of trash bags, plastic wrap, foil, and parchment paper.

Use tension rods to organize your craft room. Hang spools of ribbon for easy cutting. You can also hang tension rods to organize your rolls of wrapping paper and create a gift wrapping station. This is especially handy at Christmas time!

Do you have a small nook in your closet that extends from floor to ceiling? Hang tension rods every 18-24 inches, and use that space to safely hang all your heels and dress shoes. It gets them off the floor and makes them easily accessible. Check out 10 bedroom closet organization hacks for more ways to organize your closet.

There you have it–just a few of the many ways to organize with tension rods. If you get creative, I’m sure you can come up with more!
