Pour some hot water into a plastic, enamel or stainless steel (not aluminum) container. Add some dishwashing soap and a little bit of bleach, and stir that mixture together really well. Add your clothes or towels (or any white items) that are 100% cotton into your container and let them soak for about 30 minutes. When the time is up, wash these items as usual and when you take them out, they will look brand new!

Does this only work on cotton?
My husband has a favorite shirt that is rayon /polyester blend. He stubbornly continues to wear it, even though it has turned a grayish yellow. I’ve tried everything! Other than the color, it’s in perfect condition. I really don’t want to toss it, but I may not have any other choice, unless you can help me out. Please, please, please!
If the shirt is all white get a box of color remover (that is in the dye section) and follow the directions. The shirt will come out like brand new.

What you can do is fill your washer (top Loading) with hot water add half a cup of borax and soak your whites overnight and shut machine off, then wash the next day remember to leave the machine on hot and regular wash, when the machine is finished put it on a second rinse cycle. Borax has become my go to cleaner, I use a 1/4 cup in every load and all my whites and brights are no longer dull. Remember that before you start you white load make sure that the machine is clean and free of any lint. Borax is also green!
Hi …wet the cloth and apply sunlight soap (im from sri lanka) keep in the sun to dry.
After drying wash it in the machine using litte powder as there is soap on the cloth too……and it will be white….
Hi, Can I ask what you mean by dishwashing soap? Is it soap for dishwashers or soap for hand washing dishes in the sink? Thanks.
What about arm put stains in colored clothes? Any tips? Thank you so much!
