- Use a magazine rack as a makeshift divider and holder for your pots, pans, lids, and other containers. You can slide them into nearly any drawer, making them a great idea.
- Get an over-the-sick cutting board that you can use without taking up any of your precious counter space. It also makes it easy to clean if you make a mess.
- You know those faux drawers that lots of sinks have right below them? Well, install a small flip out drawer that allows you to store small things like a washcloth, sponge, or something else.
- Attach hooks on the sides of your cabinets. It can nearly double your storage space if it’s a big space, and everything is a lot more accessible.
- If you have a tall ceiling, then use it to store pots and pans. Simply hang them from the hooks or pegs in the ceiling to increase your storage.
- Install a tension rod underneath your kitchen sink to make more room for cleaning supplies. Hang spray bottles or gloves from the rod and then use the space below it, too
- You can also install rolling cabinets under the kitchen sink to increase storage, make it more organized, and easier to access.
- Use a magazine holder to store your foils and wraps. Just attach it to the inside of your pantry door and then put the aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and other things in it.
- Lots of kitchens have space between the tops of the cabinets and the ceiling. Use that space to store things like bowls and containers.
- Make sure to take all your food in your pantry out of the store boxes and use clear canisters. Store boxes are often big and bulky, so this will save you space.
- Get an over the sink shelf that adds storage space above your faucet without getting in the way. It’s super helpful and allows you to store often-used items.
- Attach corkboard to the inside of cabinet doors or other places. You can store things like notes, recipes, grocery lists, etc., to stay organized.
- You could always install a murphy table for your kitchen—a table that folds into the wall when you’re not using it!
- Make a magnetic spice rack that you can store on the inside of cabinet doors, underneath your cupboards, or on the backsplash. There are tons of options!
- Try installing a basket and rod system on the backsplash that doubles your storage space. It’s like having a whole new counter to put things on!
- Pegboard is an incredibly versatile kitchen organizer device. You can put it anywhere that there’s space and store anything from pots and pans to spices.
- Lazy Susans are a great idea for a small kitchen. They allow you to optimize how much space you use without having to fumble through all the items.
- If your pantry is big enough, consider a rolling cart. It allows you to have more storage and can move around so it doesn’t get in the way. You can also just do this in your open kitchen.
- Use a file rack organizer to keep your baking sheets all in order. Just slip the baking sheets in each slot and you’re good!
- Make or buy a magnetic knife strip that securely stores all your knives with the bulky knife block! Just make sure it’s secure so they don’t fall loose.
- Use a window shutter as a kitchen organizer! You can hang item from hooks or just use the slots on the shutter! Paint it to look great!
- Use a tension rod in your drawers to divide things like plastic containers, their lids, water bottles, and other items. It keeps things neat, even when you shuffle things around.
- Use chip clips to secure open bags to the wire shelving in your freezer. Since they hang, it doesn’t take up any space and you can get more in there!
- Install a pull-out pantry somewhere in your kitchen. There’s probably an empty spot in the wall or between your cupboards, so just convert it into a pantry!
- When shopping for furniture, buy a kitchen table that has storage built into it. In a small kitchen, all the space matters, so make your table do double duty.
