Castile soap is a natural soap that is chemical-free and made mostly from olive and other vegetable oils, plus sodium hydroxide. Castile soap made with sodium hydroxide is a hard white soap, but liquid Castile soaps are made with potassium hydroxide. It originated in the Castile region of Spain, hence its name. It is great for many uses, including washing your body and your hair, and also cleaning around the house. Today’s post focuses on 10 ways you can use castile soap around the home. Let’s get started!

2. Wellness Mama also shares a great recipe for homemade body wash. It uses mainly castile soap and raw honey, so it’s natural, chemical free, and soothing to your skin.
3. Try making homemade natural baby wipes that are safe, effective, and soothing to a baby’s sensitive skin. The recipe includes castile soap, witch hazel, and pure aloe vera. Essential oils are optional.

10. Put three gallons of water in a bucket, add 1/2 cup of castile soap, and mop your tile floors clean.
