I know what you’re thinking. “Spring clean your home in 30 minutes?! How is that possible?” What today’s post is all about is some Spring cleaning tips to help you accomplish tasks in 30 minutes. I’m talking about all those little jobs that you dread doing. They can be done on a time limit, and knowing that helps you keep moving through each one until your entire home is clean. This plan breaks your Spring cleaning down into a manageable Spring cleaning checklist, to keep you from being so overwhelmed that you just don’t do anything. So stick with me and I’ll show you how to get it done in 30 minutes at a time!
One Spring cleaning job you can accomplish in 30 minutes {or less!} is to clean your ceiling fans. Just grab a pillowcase, and spray the inside with a mixture of half water and half white vinegar. You need the inside of the pillowcase just damp enough to help loosen the dust from the ceiling fan blades. Put the pillowcase over a blade, then grip the blade at the inner end through the pillowcase. Use the pillowcase to pull all the dust and grime from the blade. Repeat for each ceiling fan blade in your home. The best part? The dust bunnies will come off into the pillowcase and not the surrounding surfaces below.
Another 30 minute task will leave you clean blinds. Fill a bucket with one part warm water, to one part white vinegar. Grab a couple of old tube socks and soak them in the solution. Wring them out thoroughly {so they aren’t dripping wet} and put one on each hand. Use the socks to grip and move down each slat of your blinds to remove dust and dirt. The vinegar helps make quick work of this! Get a supply of Heinz Cleaning Vinegar from Amazon.
Take another 30 minutes or so to clean the doors in your home. It’s amazing the amount of dirt and fingerprints that rack up! If you focus on the area around the knob and then the bottom, you can clean the worst dirt away in minutes.
Clean the grease and grime from the fronts of your kitchen cabinets {the worst!} with this easy trick. All you need is baking soda and coconut oil. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but this really works.
Here is a quick Spring cleaning tip to clean your mattress–something that is often forgotten! Just sprinkle your bare mattress with a mixture of baking soda and essential oils. Let this homemade dry cleaning powder sit and work a little magic. Now vacuum the mattress to remove the baking soda mixture. You’ll be left with a fresh-smelling mattress!
