First of all, one the best ways to control the dust is to ditch it before it even gets into the house. So if you aren’t using a welcome mat, get one pronto. If everyone who enters your home will just wipe their shoes off before coming in, a lot of the dust that makes it inside will be left at the door.
Don’t use a feather duster to dust with–all it does is push the dust around, scattering it even further. Use microfiber dusting cloths, then just wash and reuse.
Wrap two of those microfiber cloths around the handles of a pair of tongs, and you’ve got the perfect tool to dust the slats of your wood blinds. This is a genius tip!
To dust the blades of your ceiling fans, use an old pillowcase. It’ll remove the dust and trap it all at once. Just shake the case out over the outside trash and launder when you’re done.
Bathroom fans are tricky to get the dust out of–I know because I’ve tried! But now you can do it much more easily. Just grab a can of compressed air!
Use dryer sheets to dust baseboards and electronics screens, like the television and computer. The dryer sheet helps to repel dust in the future so you’ll need to dust less.
