A great blend for deeper sleep begins with lavender, but there are other oils you should consider. One of these is Sweet Marjoram. This oil helps to calm breathing and improve respiratory function–an important element of a good night’s sleep.
Another essential oil to include in your deep sleep blend is Cedarwood. Not only does it smell fantastic, it also helps to calm anxiety. If your sleep is hindered by stress and/or worry, Cedarwood can help!

Deep Sleep Blend Recipe {For Roller Ball}
There are a couple of different methods you can use to dispense your deep sleep blend. We’re sharing our two favorite ways. One method requires a roller ball. Mix your blend with a carrier oil right inside the roller ball, and then roll it onto your temples and behind your ear lobes before sleep.
- 15 drops each Lavender, Cedarwood, Sweet Marjoram and Frankincense
- top the bottle off with sweet almond oil or fractionated coconut oil
Diffusing Your Deep Sleep Blend
The other method we love is to diffuse the essential oils at night in the bedroom. A diffuser emits moisture filled with the scent of the oils into the air around you, providing additional benefits for your skin and health. A diffuser is very easy to use–just fill with water and add the essential oils.
- 5 drops Lavender
- 4 drops Sweet Marjoram
- 4 drops Cedarwood
- 2 drops Frankincense
