I’ve got a stainless steel sink, and if it’s clean and shiny I love it. The trick is to keep it clean and shiny! Today’s post is all about how to clean your stainless steel sink so it’s spotless.
To clean your stainless steel sink, you’ll need to go through a couple of steps. But don’t worry, they are quick and easy. First, wet a sponge and use some dishwashing soap to thoroughly wash the entire sink. An old toothbrush is a great way to make sure you get the grooves around the drain really clean.
Use hot water to rinse all the soap down the drain. Now grab your carton of baking soda {seriously! baking soda has so many great uses} and sprinkle it all over the sink surfaces. Use a rag or a sponge to scrub the sink with the baking soda.
Once you’ve scrubbed out the sink with baking soda, just rinse it thoroughly and then buff it dry with clean towel.
For a boost of extra shininess, use a little bit of mineral oil on a soft cloth rubbed into the stainless steel. I also like to use a special stainless steel cleaning wipe to help repel future stains. You’ll find some at Amazon! I also love to use Lemi Shine to get rid of any hard water deposits around the faucet and handles.
