Yes, it really is easy to make a homemade grease cleaner! It’s easy to make, works great, and above all is super inexpensive, but it also smells fantastic! Read on to see how easy it is to do yourself!
All you need to make an effective grease cleaner that will work on countertops, cabinet fronts, stoves and refrigerators, is a few simple and all-natural ingredients. First, you need some distilled water. This is important for best results, and will also increase the shelf life of the cleaner.
Next, you need Castile soap. Castile soap is known for being pure and gentle, without any harsh chemicals. It is what will help clean and disinfect greasy areas of your home, while being extremely gentle on skin!
The final ingredient is orange essential oil. Citrus is an effective degreaser, and is what gives this cleaner its wonderful scent. If you prefer, lemon oil could be used instead of orange. My favorite orange essential and lemon essential oils are made by Now.
In a spray bottle, mix 1 3/4 cup of distilled water, 2 tablespoonsful of Castile soap, and 20 drops of orange {or lemon} essential oil.
Shake well before using. Just spray on desired area, and use a clean sponge or cloth to wipe clean. Separation of the ingredients in the cleaner between uses is normal, because there are no chemical binders in the solution. Spray this cleaner on your greasy stove, microwave oven, countertops, cabinet doors…..anywhere you have a greasy mess!
