You might think that you can get your bathroom floor clean any old way you like, and that’s true. But how would you like to get your bathroom floor even cleaner, and in less time than before? Today I’ve got some valuable dos and don’ts to help you clean your bathroom floor. These tips will help you clean correctly–as in better and faster, with simple ingredients. Check them out below!
Don’t drag out the vacuum a small bathroom floor. Instead, use a broom and dust bin to thoroughly sweep the floor clean of dust, hair and other dirt that accumulates on a daily basis.
A Swiffer sweeper is also a good option for sweeping the bathroom floor. It attracts the hair and dust and picks it up in one single step. No matter which option you choose, you definitely don’t want to mop the floor without sweeping first. Hint: don’t forget to sweep all around the base of the toilet!
Do take advantage of the sink when you mop your bathroom floor. {Why pull out a bucket if you don’t have to?} Just fill the sink with hot water. Then add a quarter cup of white vinegar, plus one tablespoon of dish soap to the hot water. Now you’ve got an inexpensive cleaning solution that will cut through grime {even hairspray build-up!} and get your floor sparkling clean again. In a small bathroom, you don’t even have to drag out a mop. Grab a rag, wet it in the water, vinegar and dish soap mixture, and use it to wipe the floor clean.
Do use a towel to dry the floor after it’s clean. Taking the time to towel dry the floor helps it dry with a nice sheen, but it doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. Lay out an old bath towel, and use your feet to move the towel around the floor, wiping it dry in sections. Just be sure to start opposite the door so you can dry your way out of the room.
