- Attach some baskets to the walls and you can add storage space to your playroom without taking up any ground space! Just keep them close enough so that your kids can reach the baskets if you want them to.
- Get furniture for the playroom that doubles as storage. There are tons of chairs, tables, desks, and other furniture items that you can also store toys in.
- Use string and some clips or hooks to store art pieces that your kids have made. It’s super cheap and easy to do this and it makes changing out the artwork a lot faster.
- Instead of keeping bulky puzzle boxes around the playroom, just cut the picture out of the front of the box and put that and all the puzzle pieces in bags. This makes storage a lot simpler.
- Turn old bean bags into fantastic stuffed animal storage! You just open them up, empty out the foam, and then store the stuffed animals in them. It’s a super easy way to organize them.
- Use an over the door hanger to organize all the dolls and doll accessories that your kids have. Just slide a doll in each pocket and you’re good!
- Store toy cars on magnets that easily hold the toy cars without them falling all over the place. You can attach the magnet on the wall, on the side of a desk, or anywhere else that works.
- Color code the Legos so that they’re easier to keep track of and your kids can keep them organized. It just makes things so much easier!
- Make a cute little hammock that all the stuffed animals can “sleep” in together. You just hang it up in the corner of the room and that’s about it!
- Use some sort of cubby system to keep your kids’ toys organized. The cubbies make it so that everything looks really neat and even, although sometimes it may not be!
- Another great idea is to use a curtain to hide all the toys in the playroom. Just put them in boxes or on shelves and then drape a curtain over that to keep it out of view!
- Frame game boards on the wall that your kids can pull down whenever they want to play with it. This is good artwork for the room and also prevents boards from getting ripped, stained, and ruined.
- If your kids like to make art (especially on the walls), then here’s a great idea: Attach a big roll of paper onto hooks on the wall and your kids can just pull the paper down to color. So easy!
- Use cookie jars and other like containers to store art supplies. You can get one container for each type of art supply (like crayons, markers, etc.).
- Use a cute little wagon to store the kids’ books that you have in the playroom! Not only is it all stored in one spot, but your kids can pull it around the room if they want to read somewhere else!
- Install some pegboard in your playroom to make things so much neater and more organized! You can store pretty much anything you want on it!
- If your kids like to play dress up, then have a specially designated closet or place to keep all the clothes in order. You can even get clear bins for each outfit to make it easier.
- Use clear bins to store any of the tins that you have packed away! It makes getting what you want so much faster because you can see right into the containers.
- Use a bungee cord to keep any balls or stuffed animals from falling out of their cubbies and containers. Just stretch the bungee cords over the opening and your’e good!
- Make a stuffed animal swing that is super cute and really effective. It’s just a multi-tiered swing made from rope and planks of wood to store the stuffed animals on!
