A clean stove is not only pretty to look at, it’s much easier and more pleasant to use. The most obvious way to keep your kitchen stove clean is to keep up on it and wipe up spills as they happen. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen because life seems to just get in the way. So how to deep clean your kitchen stove? Don’t worry, today I have some simple ways to help you deep clean your kitchen stove. You won’t need anything fancy for this!
To get started, just grab a sponge, some dish soap, a rubber spatula, a soft cloth and a soft-bristled brush. Even something as simple as a toothbrush will work great.
Wet the sponge with hot water {but not too hot to touch} and add a couple drops of dishwashing liquid. Give the sponge a few squeezes to activate the suds and then wipe down the stove top thoroughly. If there are any stubborn stains or burned-on gunk, a great way to loosen that is to wet a few paper towels with hot water. Lay the wet paper towels over the stains and let them sit for a few minutes to work a little magic. Now use the rubber spatula to scrape away the gunk.
An old toothbrush or other soft-bristled brush helps to loosen burned-on stains and food from underneath the drip trays. Just dip in hot, sudsy water first.
Once you have wiped down the stove top and cleaned away any stains, grease or gunk, you are ready to rinse the sponge in hot water and use it to wipe away any soap residue from the surface. Now use the soft cloth to thoroughly dry the stove top.
